Welcome to Alex and Patty’s blog whom with a pair of labrador, Terra Ferma(Older) and “Hurricane” Holly (Younger), are doing some traveling on land and sea to explore some roads less traveled by most. Our land travel is via a Host Camper and sea via Water Dog a Kadey Krogen 58 trawler.

AIS is is required for commercial shipping to prevent collisions at sea. Water Dog also has AIS so we can see other ships on our chart plotter and transmits our position to other AIS equipped ships so we can be seen by them.
